Preamp usage guide

NV Tone® Model Duo Preamp is a unit that allows combining two inputs from different input sources into one output channel.

1. Connectors

  • USB: for charging
  • OUT: the mixed output of line & mic channels
  • LINE:  input for any type of piezo or magnetic pickup
  • MIC:  input for NV Tone Mic

2. Tone controls

  • Gain: adjust increase the power or amplitude of a signal from the input signal up to +/- 20 dB. The gain range is covered by a factor of 1 to 10.
  • High: cut/boost 12kHz
  • Middle: super wideband 1.7kHz
  • Low: roll-off 110Hz
  • Volume: adjust the level of each channel

3. Compatibility

The output channel of Model Duo is fully compatible with any:

  • Audio interface: via any line/instrumental input
  • Amplifier: via any line input
  • Recorder: via any line/instrumental input
  • Mixer: via any line/instrumental input
  • Pedals: via any line/instrumental input
